Longstaff Longstaff clothes are luxury items, designed with thought and made with care in Great Britain.
As silk is a natural fibre and does not harbour smells, please consider how often you need to wash your clothes. If appropriate, hang them up and let them air overnight.
Dresses with linings are Dry Clean Only. If you can use eco dry cleaning then please do.
Other garments are Dry Clean or Hand Wash in cold water. Dry cleaning is safest and if you can use eco dry cleaning then please do. However, it is fine to wash tops and skirts in cold water but please note:
Please don’t use fabric softener and please don’t wring them out!
Dry naturally, not in the tumble dryer.
Gentle steaming or ironing on the silk setting brings back shine of silk satin.
Regular hand washing and will eventually reduce the shine of satin and become mat ‘washed silk’.
We would be happy to answer any care questions you have so do get in touch.
Treat them with care and they’ll last a life time.
