If you’ve had a browse through the website, you will have seen some of our beautiful new products; Silk pocket squares made an appearance on the site just in time for Christmas.
Talking to our friends on Jermyn Street, pocket squares are just beginning to out sell ties as men wear ties less often but want the punch of colour that a pocket square can give.
We have adapted two of our most popular designs for the men’s collection – Lacewing (re named Moths) and Royal Paisley (re named Paisley) and had a lovely time playing with new colour ways so that with only a fold or two of silk peeking out of your pocket, you’ll still get a proper punch of colour.
The third design in the collection is the fabulous Snakes print. It’s one of those prints that you either love or can’t look at thanks to the effect that snakes have on people. But we love it and can’t wait for it to appear on our robes!
There are a few things to remember when choosing a silk pocket square. A square that picks out a colour in your shirt or your jacket is going to work well and as for folding…how long have you got? You can do the Artful Stuff, the Carefree Stuff, (two of the most popular if you aren’t great at folding), the Square Fold, the Throw, the One Point, the Scallop…..Have a look at our Pinterest page on pocket squares which will have lots of instructions on a new fold for every day of the month (almost)
And by the way, thank you to all our women customers who wear the squares as wrist ties, neckerchiefs and even pocket squares!
